PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet apparatus hardly scattering ammonia to the outside. SOLUTION: The toilet apparatus comprises a toilet bowl in which excrement and urine are separated and discharged, a urine container for reserving the urine discharged from the toilet bowl, and a first Peltier element for cooling the urine inside the urine container. With this structure, as the urine inside the urine container is cooled, urea is hardly oxidized and decomposed inside the urine container, so that the quantity of production of ammonia in the urine in the urine container is reduced.
