PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system by which a user can reserve a program from a place where the user has gone inexpensively and easily as much as possible. SOLUTION: An abbreviated number and a flag of video recording start or canceling are transmitted from a user's portable terminal 50 to a reservation server 30 together with a user ID and a password. A recorder 100 communicates with the reservation server 30 in a predetermined time, and acquires reservation information to acquire required reservation information.
