An apparatus for reducing a fracture in the lower arm of a patient, comprising securing means (10, 20) for restraining the upper arm of the patient, means (15) for supporting the lower arm generally at right angles to the upper arm, and generally horizontal, means (30, 35, 40, 50, 65) for applying a traction force of from 40N to 110N to the lower arm to reduce the fracture, wherein the means for applying a traction force includes attachment means (80, 82, 84) capable of being secured to the hand to transmit the traction force to the lower arm. |
