The fastening element (10) for a roof accessory element fitted on sloping roofs has a support section (12) which has an angled fastening clamp (14) on the upper end which is supported and/or fastened on a support component of the roof's sub-structure. A tensile load acting on the support section is directed as far as possible into the support component via the fastening clamp. The support section on a lower end has a support foot (26) lying on the roof surface and/or fastened there.
