<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape-predicting method, its device, and its program capable of sequentially calculating even a contact point with an obstacle changing sequentially following deformation of a wire harness, and capable of more accurately determining a predicted shape of a wire-like structure. <P>SOLUTION: The contact point of the wire harness 1 and the obstacle 30 is determined, by using a contact point calculation model 1b each time one part of the wire harness 1 is forcibly displaced by a predetermined amount. The predicted shape of the wire harness 1 is determined on the basis of a shape characteristic, the material characteristics, and constraints of the wire harness 1 by using a finite element model 1a.
