<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain stable communication by preventing effect of electromagnetic wave noise which originates from the outside of an image forming apparatus, in performing communication between a process cartridge or other consumables such as a non-volatile memory unit loaded to a fixing unit etc., and the image forming apparatus body. <P>SOLUTION: Regarding the image forming apparatus having a detachable unit for performing a prescribed operation, the detachable unit is provided with the non-volatile memory. The apparatus is provided with a memory control means for reading/writing prescribed information from/to the non-volatile memory, and the memory control means is constituted so that the operating speed of reading/writing the information from/to the non-volatile memory can be optionally changed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
