<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent freezing in an end cell when starting a fuel cell stack in low temperatures. <P>SOLUTION: A current collector 3 disposed at the end part of a plurality of laminated cells 2 in the laminated direction is provided with a first conductive region 31, a second conductive region 32 the area of which is smaller than that of the first conductive region 31, and an insulating region 33 disposed between the first conductive region 31 and the second conductive region 32 to insulate between the first conductive region 31 and the second conductive region 32. When operating the fuel cell stack by starting it in low temperatures, a current is taken out from the second conductive region 31, and when it is normally operated, the current is taken out from the first conductive region. Thereby, water generated in the end cell can be prevented from being frozen by increasing a heating value in the end cell when starting it in low temperatures. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
