<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability and reliability by absorbing and relieving stress convergently applied to a connection part of an EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) pipe to an exhaust system, to prevent the initiation of a crack or the like at the connection part, and to simplify connection work of EGR pipe to the exhaust system by securing gas sealing performance at the connection part of the EGR pipe to the exhaust system without welding. <P>SOLUTION: The tip part of the EGR pipe 2 is mounted in a state of forming an annular clearance 21 outside the tip part of a connecting pipe 12, and a ring-like gasket 3 of circular cross section for performing gas sealing between the EGR pipe 2 and the connecting pipe 12 is inserted in the annular clearance 21. A stopper part 22 for impeding the slip-off of the ring-like gasket 3 is formed projecting inward at the EGR pipe 2 at the part radially facing the tip part of the connecting pipe 12, and a coil spring 4 pressing and energizing the ring-like gasket 3 toward the stopper part 22 is held in the annular clearance 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
