<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having an automatic supply paper tray switching function (ATS) capable of coping with various demands from users. <P>SOLUTION: The user sets the kind, size, and direction of paper contained in trays A-D in a paper attribute setting screen. By selecting (1) prohibition of ATS (both ATS to the other tray and ATS from the other tray prohibited), (2) prohibition of ATS to the other supply paper tray only, (3) prohibition of ATS from the other supply paper tray, or (4) permission of ATS (both ATS to the other tray and ATS from the other tray permitted), a paper supply part 40 executes ATS in accordance with back paper ATS permission/prohibition setting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
