PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of allowing an information processing apparatus to transmit various information items to an information processing terminal while ensuring the security.

SOLUTION: An encryption key is registered in advance between a mobile apparatus 1 and an electric apparatus 5 by means of wireless infrared ray communication. The electric apparatus 5 manages preference information of a user of the mobile apparatus 1 and EPG information and selects recommended programs on the basis of the information items above. The electric apparatus 5 encrypts information of the selected recommended programs by using an encryption key and transmits the information to the mobile apparatus 1 by mail. The recommended programs are displayed on a screen of the mobile apparatus 1, and when the mobile apparatus 1 selects a program among the recommended program, the mobile apparatus 1 returns mail of requesting video recording reservation of the recommended program to the electric apparatus 5, and the electric apparatus 5 sets the video recording reservation. The information processing apparatus or the like is applicable to mobile apparatuses such as mobile phones and PDAs and electric apparatuses such as video recorders and television receivers.
