<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bubble amount detection system quantitating accurately without wrong detection the bubble amount in liquid flowing in a tube, especially the bubble amount containing a very small quantity (very small volume) of bubbles, for example, the bubble amount containing micro-bubbles intermingled in blood or infusion flowing in a tube of medical equipment, and the bubble amount detection system capable of detecting the accurate bubble amount in the medical equipment loaded with the bubble amount detection system. <P>SOLUTION: This bubble amount detection system has an ultrasonic detection means equipped with an ultrasonic vibrator mounted on the tube wherein the liquid is sent for oscillating an ultrasonic wave to a tube part and a reception side vibrator for receiving the ultrasonic wave oscillated by the ultrasonic vibrator, and a bubble amount calculation means for calculating the bubble amount based on a detection result from the ultrasonic detection means. Data on the flow rate of the liquid passing in the tube and/or data on the tube are taken into the bubble amount calculation means as a correction parameter for bubble amount calculation, to thereby calculate the bubble amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
