<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and a communication control method for maintaining an optimized communication path in connecting to an external network. <P>SOLUTION: The communication system 32 is provided with an access router 14, a positional information management server 20, and a path optimizing server 18. The path optimizing server 18 receives a BU message from a Mobile-IP terminal 12A and receives positional information of the connection access router 14A from the positional information management server 20. Then, the path optimizing server 18 transmits the BU message to the connection access router 14A on the basis of the received positional information of the connection access router 14A to transmit path optimizing information to the connection access router 14A to which a communication terminal 12 is connected.
