<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel gateway apparatus for adopting a redundancy configuration of an ISATAP gateway without forcing inconvenience on users. <P>SOLUTION: A virtual ISATAP interface for capsulating an IPv6 packet with the IPv4 and transmitting the resulting packet is mounted on a virtual router (tunnel gateway 20) comprising a plurality of the ISATAP tunnel gateways on which the VRRP operates to provide an IPv4 address to the a virtual ISATAP router and to give an IPv6 address to the ISATAP interface of the virtual ISATAP router, and the virtual ISATAP router properly receives the IPv6 packet that is transmitted to itself and capsulated with the IPv4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
