PHASE TRANSITION METHOD FOR ORGANIC COMPLEX, AND ITS FUNCTIONAL ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase transition method for an organic complex by which highly functional phase transition can be performed under a specific condition and to provide its functional element.

SOLUTION: In the phase transition method, an EDO-TTF system complex crystal is irradiated with nearly 1 to 10μJ/1cm2weak photon to undergo phase transition into a metal layer (a high temperature phase) and an insulating body phase (a low temperature phase), and its reflection spectrum and electric conductivity are changed as a result. The phase transition method is performed at high sensitivity and at high speed in the wavelength range of 1.5 to 0.8μm and at room temperature.
