摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a lowering of durability caused by the temperature rise of a filter member while suppressing the degradation of fuel economy. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device for an engine is provided with the filter member for capturing exhaust particles; a manual regenerating switch for starting the regeneration of the filter member; a stop state detecting means for detecting the stop state of a vehicle; and a regenerating means for regenerating the filter member by increasing the engine speed to the predetermined rotating speed to burn and eliminate the exhaust particles captured by the filter member when the manual regenerating switch is operated and the stop state of the vehicle is detected. The exhaust emission control device is further provided with a first parameter value detecting means for detecting a parameter value related to the temperature of the filter member, and a stop request detecting means for detecting an engine stop request signal. In the case the parameter value is the predetermined temperature or higher when an engine stop request is detected during regeneration, the regenerating means is constituted to continue regeneration, forbidding the stop of the engine until it is lower than the predetermined temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
