PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication channel selection method capable of effectively utilizing a data communication band and suppressing reception power consumption of a slave unit. SOLUTION: The slave unit 2 and a master unit 1 connected to a network 3 carry out data transmission by using one or more control wireless communication channels to establish a link between them and a plurality of data transmission purpose wireless communication channels for data communication. When the slave unit 2 transmits a connection request signal to the master unit 1, the master unit 1 determines a communication time Tc_m required for the slave unit 2 on the basis of terminal identification information included in the connection request signal from the slave unit 2 and adds the communication time Tc_m to an allocated time TcD_i stored in a memory. The master unit 1 compares the result of summation with a maximum allocation time TcDmax_t of each predetermined communication channel, selects a communication channel whose time of the summation result is within the maximum allocation time TcDmax_t and informs the slave unit 2 about the selected communication channel.
