PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily use content transfer services via the Internet or the like without the need to prepare such a device as a personal computer to perform complex operations. SOLUTION: Content servers 40, 50 connected to a predetermined network for storing content data through a predetermined procedure, a communication procedure providing server 30 connected to the predetermined network for storing data about a communication procedure by which data are transmitted between the server and the content servers, and a data relay system 20 that can be connected to the predetermined network for communication with a connected or nearby information terminal 10 are prepared. The address of the communication procedure providing server 30 is stored in the data relay system 20. Further, data about the communication procedure transmitted from the communication procedure providing server 30 of that address are stored, and data transmission is effected between the information terminal 10 and the content server 40 or 50 according to the stored data about the communication procedure.
