PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feed conveyor capable of shortening time from reception of an article till it is ready to be sent to a subsequent transfer means. SOLUTION: In a receiving zone, article receiving belt conveyors 10R and 10L are disposed. On the opposite side to the article introducing side, an article stopper plate 21 to regulate the advance position of the article to the receiving zone is provided to be freely capable of advancing and retracting in an article advance direction. On both sides of width in the receiving zone, two guide plates 31R and 31L are disposed to guide advance of the article to the receiving zone in such a way that they can be approached to/separated from each other in the width direction. On each of two guide means, a stacker means including article support plates 41R and 41L is disposed, so that the article received into the receiving zone is vertically movable between a first height position where it is supported on the lower surface side and a second height position where it is raised to a pickup position by an article transfer means. A control part adjusts the advance position of the article stopper plate and width positions of the two guide means in accordance with size of the article. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
