PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve housing manufacturing method capable of considerably reducing the constraints of the shape and the dimension of a valve housing to be finally obtained to the shape and the dimension of a tubular member, and preventing generation of any locally thin-walled portion or brittle portion in the valve housing obtained by deforming the shape of the tubular member. SOLUTION: The valve housing manufacturing method comprises a tubular wall expanding step of outwardly expanding a part of a tubular wall by applying the internal pressure to a tubular member 100, and a tubular wall forming step of forming an inner rib 103A by deforming the tubular wall portion on one side in a range of expanding deformation while performing the pattern forming with the internal pressure applied to a tubular member 102, and flattening the tubular wall portion on the other side facing the tubular wall on one side to constitute a flat portion 103B.
