PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the unevenness of weights caused by error of the diameters in bar steels by measuring the weight and simultaneously measuring the length in a device for supplying only good blank into a forging machine by measuring the weight of a billet made by cutting off the bar steels. SOLUTION: An instrument for measuring a forging blank is the one, in which an inclining chute for transporting the billet composed of the round bar is provided and a supporting jig for supporting toward the direction crossing the above chute by receiving the billet from the chute is arranged, and the weight measuring means is arranged in this supporting jig is arranged, and a length measuring means for measuring the position of the end surface of the billet is oppositely arranged by crossing the chute, at the position of the supporting jig.
