PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair a bedridden handicapped person can be got on and off, which can be easily used to go to a toilet and so on, and which can reduce a caretaker's burden. SOLUTION: A universal wheelchair for care has a seat part as an axis, a backrest part, and a foot holding part. The backrest part and the foot holding part become parallel. The wheelchair moves up and down by a pantograph mechanism, and the height of the wheelchair can be freely selected. The person's body can be spaced from the wheelchair by an armrest part.
