PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a comfortable and normal use of an umbrella under a normal strong wind expecting a special ultra-strong wind such as a typhoon, a parasol, a large-sized parasol for beach and field, a tentorium umbrella for outdoor, and other umbrellas, and when a wind force and a wind pressure are applied to an umbrella while the umbrella is used, the pressure is released, and at the same time, burden to ribs of the umbrella is reduced to eliminate a sudden bending or breakage of the ribs. SOLUTION: On all master ribs of the umbrella, one or a plurality of springs paired with a reverse utensil are provided on each rib at a location between a tip to a stretcher from the tip to the ferrule, in response to the length of the rib. A structure wherein the strength of the spring paired with the reverse utensil is increased toward the ferrule from the crown is formed. A strong wind while the umbrella is used is released from the overall periphery or a part of the periphery of the umbrella to soften burden to the master ribs of the umbrella. Then, for this wind force softening umbrella, the umbrella function is constructed in such a manner that the stretching degree and the stretching size of the umbrella which do not cause troubles can properly be adjusted.
