The display stand comprises a spacing support (3) with upper and lower holders (5) kept at a distance from each other. The flat object (1), made of foil, paper and/or fabric, esp. poster, writing surface, is stretched using the holding arrangements. The upper and lower edges of the object are held between two parts of the clamping arrangement (2). An independent claim is also included for a clamping arrangement.
