<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building management system that enables unauthorized access prevention, and monitoring and operation depending on the management level of a user by identifying the user on the basis of a digital certificate. <P>SOLUTION: The building management system comprises a building management apparatus 4 for monitoring and operating equipment in a building, an equipment operating terminal 2 connected to the building management apparatus 4 via an IP network 3, and an access management center 1 for delivering a digital certificate storing in advance the equipment monitored and operated by the building management apparatus 4 and management levels as extension information to the equipment operating terminal 2 and registering a user in the building management apparatus 4. The building management apparatus 4 has a user information table storing in advance monitored and operated equipment types and equipment names for every user; and upon access from the equipment operating terminal 2, extracts the company name and name of a subject from the digital certificate, refers to the user information table to generate an operation menu of available equipment, and displays a screen of the operation menu on the equipment operating terminal 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
