<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase adhesive force of a thermal spray coating to be formed on the face to be thermal-sprayed by making the thermal spray coating thinner and increasing its flattening ratio. <P>SOLUTION: A gas wire thermal spraying gun 3 receives the feed of a wire 7 of a ferrous metallic material as the material for thermal spraying from a wire feeding machine 5, further receives the feed of a combustion gas and oxygen from a fuel gas cylinder 9 and an oxygen cylinder 11, respectively, and forms combustion flame at the tip part. An atomizing air flow passage 25 feeding an atomizing air feeding the wire 7 melted by the combustion flame to the front and an accelerator air flow passage 31 feeding an accelerator air feeding the melted wire 7 toward the inside 1a of the bore in a cylinder block 1 are provided, respectively, and each air is used as separate system. Further, the feeding pressure of the accelerator air is highly set to increase the scattering speed of spray particles 65 of the melted wire 7, and the collision energy of the spray particles 65 to the inside 1a of the bore is increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
