<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering controller which keeps a steering shift function effective even if a component in the controller fails. <P>SOLUTION: The steering controller comprises a steering angle sensor 8 for detecting an operation quantity of a steering wheel, an actual steering angle sensor 13 for detecting a steering shift quantity of wheels 3, 3, and a plurality of actuators 5, 15, which give a steering shift force to the wheels 3, 3 on the basis of at least either of the operation quantity detected by the steering angle sensor 8 and the steering shift quantity detected by the actual steering angle sensor 13. When at least one of the steering angle sensor 8, the actual steering angle sensor 13, and the actuators 5, 15 fails, the other working components are used to give a steering shift force to the wheels 3, 3 to keep the steering shift quantity of the wheels 3, 3 under continuous control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
