<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such problems from occurring that an angle of luminous flux made incident on a dichroic prism and a polarization beam splitter is varied and a push-pull signal cannot be detected normally, or the like due to a tracking operation of an objective lens. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical pickup device in which luminous flux from a semiconductor laser 1 is made almost parallel light by a collimate lens 5 through a polarization beam splitter 4 and emitted to an optical information recording medium (optical disk 8) by the objective lens 7, a P polarization direction for the polarization beam splitter 4 is made different from a tracking direction of the objective lens 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
