HIGHLY THERMAL CONDUCTIVE WEAR RESISTANT MATERIAL, AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cubic boron nitride sintered compact material which combines high thermal conductivity and wear resistance.

SOLUTION: The highly thermal conductive wear resistant material consists of a polycrystalline substance comprising cubic boron nitride and a bonding phase as a second phase with inevitable impurities. The volume content of the cubic boron nitride as grains is at least 80 to 95%, the cubic boron nitride grains composing the polycrystalline substance are mutually bonded, and the second phase includes AlN and MgB2.
