<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branch joint clamp capable of fitting and fixing a saddle type fusion joint into an existing pipe smoothly and securely. <P>SOLUTION: When using this clamp 100, the clamp is first provided while an opening part 14 of a saddle part 13 of the joint 10 is applied to an outer face of the existing pipe 1. When a pair of engaging members 111, 121 of the clamp 100 are drawn close to a pressing member 130, the opening part 14 of the saddle part 13 is enlarged along the outer face of the existing pipe 1. After the opening part 14 crosses the maximum diameter part of the existing pipe 1 and is fitted, an innermost part of the saddle part 13 is applied to the existing pipe 1, and a pair of opening fringes 15 of the saddle part 13 are drawn to an inner side for clamping.
