PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic ejection inkjet head capable of forming a high quality image on a liquid drop receptor, e.g. a recording medium, by keeping the position and shape of a meniscus stably thereby stabilizing ejection or flight of a liquid drop, e.g. an ink drop. SOLUTION: The electrostatic ejection inkjet head 10 comprises a head substrate 12, an insulating substrate 16 arranged at a specified interval to the head substrate 12 in order to form an ink channel 22 between them and provided with a through hole 20, an ink guide 14 arranged on the head substrate 12 such that the forward end part is located substantially in the center of the through hole 20, a means for supplying ink Q to the ink channel 22, a control electrode 18 provided on the insulating substrate 16 to surround the through hole 20, and a meniscus control means 40 for securing the edge part E of a meniscus M being formed in the vicinity of the ink guide 14.
