PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molding machine and an injection molding method for manufacturing a disc-like information medium, which evade blemishes of well-known injection molding machines and provide possibilities of an improved process stability, an improved molding quality and a shorter latency time for starting or a quicker cycle time. SOLUTION: An injection molding machine (10) for manufacturing a disc-like molding, particularly in the form of information media such as CD and DVD; wherein the injection molding machine (10) comprises first and second mirror plates (11 and 12) which are mutually facing to define an injection molding die (25) and allowing a relative move for opening and closing the die, and at least one of the mirror plates (11, 12) is equipped with active temperature control means (26 through 37).
