PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of permitting communication among various end point terminals, and in particular, whereby the effect of the users' convenience is greater when an address of an opposite terminal is unknown. SOLUTION: In the communication system comprising: a communication apparatus including a terminal information management means for collecting and storing information of one or more terminals in a state capable of making communication in one or plural domains; an inquiry terminal for inquiring of the communication apparatus about the collected terminal information; and one or more terminals selected by the inquiry terminal among those indicated by the terminal information items received from the communication apparatus, the inquiry terminal makes communication with the selected one or more terminals via the communication apparatus including the terminal information management means.
