摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state imaging apparatus such as a CMOS sensor capable of reducing the power consumption and extending a dynamic range. SOLUTION: A unit pixel 3 includes: an electric charge generating section 32 for generating signal electric charges; a floating diffusion 38 for storing the signal electric charges generated by the electric charge generating section 32; a transfer gate transistor 34 for transferring the signal electric charges generated by the electric charge generating section 32 to the floating diffusion 38; a reset transistor 36 for resetting the floating diffusion 38; and an amplifier transistor 42 for generating a unit signal in accordance with the signal electric charges generated by the electric charge generating section 32 and providing an output of the unit signal to a vertical signal line 53. The width of each of reset pulses for driving the reset transistor 36 is selected sufficiently shorter, that is, 1/2 or below and preferably 1/5 or below of the tracking time of the signal appearing on the vertical signal line 53 corresponding to the driving.
