PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, when a search point is selected when searching image data at high speed, images are reproduced from this point to display the images advanced from a desired image to result in that the desired image is not seen. SOLUTION: The reproducer forms a high-speed reproduced usual image and an image with a time difference therefrom and divides the screen into halves, one displaying the high-speed reproduced usual image and the other displaying the image with the time-difference. A user selects a search point corresponding to the desired image from the screen displaying the usual image. It stops the high-speed reproduction and cancels the screen division to display only the image with the time difference.
