PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit which is able to notify the cancel of the switching of the display of a screen. SOLUTION: This processing to be performed by a CPU of a program display unit connected to a PLC comprises processing (a step S504) of receiving a switching instruction from a PLC to a picture "B2" when a picture "B1" is displayed, processing (a step S506) of reading the attribute data of the picture "B2" from an RAM, processing (a step S508) of outputting the display instruction of a data input screen to a graphic controller, processing (a step S512) of generating communication data to notify cancel when it is judged that the instruction of cancel has been inputted (a step S510; YES), processing (a step S514) of transmitting the communication data to a PLC and processing (a step S516) for outputting the display instruction of the screen "B1" to the graphic controller.
