IMAGE READER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fall in reading performance of a manuscript without influencing reading of image information of the manuscript even when not removing dust or the like in the case that dust or scratch exists on a reflective mirror reflecting toward a light receiving means by reflecting image light of the manuscript. SOLUTION: An image scanner is provided with a first reflective mirror 13b, a second reflective mirror 14a and a third reflective mirror 14b for reflecting the image light on an optical path M until the image light from the manuscript enters a CCD line sensor. It is also provided with an absorption member 13c being a reflective index lowering means on a reflective face reflecting the image light of the first reflective mirror 13b. The reflective index of the first reflective mirror 13b is lowered by absorbing a part of the image light shown by an arrow entering the reflective faces of the absorption member 13c and the first reflective mirror 13b with the absorption member 13c.
