PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet-like thin film material conveyance roller for lessening friction of an outside diameter in the neighborhood of both ends of a rubber roller by preventing conveyance inferiority of a sheet-like thin film material, and to provide an automatic developing machine for a silver halide photographic sensitive material provided with it. SOLUTION: In the sheet-like thin film material conveyance roller used for a sheet-like thin film material conveyor conveying by contacting by pressure and sandwiching a sheet-like thin film material between pressure contact object members, the maximum outside diameter of a roller out of a sheet-like thin film conveyance region is within a value adding two times of the maximum outside diameter of a roller in the sheet-like thin film material conveyance region and the thickness of the sheet-like thin film material, and is larger than the maximum outside diameter of the roller in the sheet-like thin film material conveyance region.
