PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulation type engine driving work machine provided with an excellent sound insulation function and an efficient cooling function and capable of saving a space by reducing ground contact area. SOLUTION: The inside of a sound insulation case C of the sound insulation type engine driving work machine 1 is divided into an upper part chamber and an engine chamber 2 which is a lower part chamber in the vertical direction by a lateral bulkhead 16. The upper part chamber is divided into a sound absorbing treatment chamber 3 and a heat exchanger chamber 4 by a longitudinal bulkhead 17. A cooling air intake 16a is provided on a sound absorbing treatment chamber 3 side of the lateral bulkhead 16. An air exhaust port 17a is provided in the longitudinal bulkhead 17.
