PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a tea extract material having favorably balanced aroma and flavor, and applicably blended to a tea beverage. SOLUTION: The method for producing the tea extract material from tea leaves belonging to Camellia sinensis comprises using 0.5-5 wt.% of an ethanol water solution as an extract solvent, 0.5-20 wt.% of tea leaves based on the extract solvent to extract the tea leaves at an extraction temperature of 0-77°C.
