A high-performance radial tire using a hybrid cord for a carcass layer is provided to use as a stiffener for rubber products or for industrial purposes due to excellent adhesive strength of the hybrid dip cord by making the dip cord of polyethylene naphthalate and lyocell multi-filaments. A high-performance radial tire(31) having aspect ratio below 0.65 is composed of a pair of parallel bead cords, at least one radial carcass ply wound around a bead core(36), a belt layer laminated on the outer peripheral surface of the carcass, and a circumferential belt reinforcing layer formed on the outer periphery of the belt layer. A carcass layer has a dip cord made of polyethylene naphthalate and lyocell multi-filaments. The lyocell dip cord has strength over 15kg, elongation over 6%, adhesive strength with rubber over 10kg, fatigue resistance over 80%, denier fineness of 2000~8000, and shrinkage below 3%. |
