A microwave oven is provided to offer heat of high temperature by emission of heat of an upper heater to the inner central side of a cooking chamber where an article to be cooked is situated. A microwave oven comprises a body(10) constituting the exterior; a cavity(200) constituting a cooking chamber; an upper heater(310) mounted on the outer top of the cavity to emit heat to provide the heat of high temperature to the inside of the cooking chamber; and a heater cover(320) mounted on the outer top of the cavity. The cavity is arranged in the body, and at least one of the front or the rear(322) is rounded toward the front side or the rear side while the heater cover covers the upper heater.
