<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap-type writing utensil which is of a simple and economical structure and thereby, can mitigate damage such as scratch in the barrel. <P>SOLUTION: In this writing utensil equipped with a cylindrical barrel and a cap having a cylindrical part of a larger inside diameter than the outside diameter of the rear end of the barrel, the cylindrical part has an insertion aperture for either of the forward end side or the rear end side of the barrel to be inserted into. The barrel has a barrel fixing protuberance which projects outwardly from the outer peripheral surface of the barrel to be covered with the cylindrical part when the rear end side of the barrel is inserted into the cylindrical part and the barrel fixing protuberance comes into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
