METHOD FOR PRODUCING gamma-D-GLUTAMYL COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method with which a side reaction caused when a γ-D-glutamyl compound is produced is suppressed and the objective γ-D-glutamyl compound is efficiently produced by using γ-glutamyltranspeptidase.

SOLUTION: The method for production is to produce the γ-D-glutamyl compound by binding the γ-D-glutamyl group of a γ-D-glutamyl group donor through an amide bond to an amino group in a γ-glutamyl group acceptor in the presence of the γ-glutamyltranspeptidase. In the method, the γ-glutamyltranspeptidase is an enzyme without recognizing a D-amino acid and a peptide in which the N-terminus is a D-amino acid residue as the γ-glutamyl group acceptor. An amino group-containing compound other than the D-amino acid and the peptide in which the N-terminus is the D-amino acid residue is used as the γ-glutamyl group acceptor.
