<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly decide the advancing direction, when a moving member passes through a coasting section and a stator goes into an arranged travelling control area. <P>SOLUTION: A moving member advancing direction deciding circuit 23e decides the advancing direction of a moving member 2 in a speed control section Lx, based on the encoder signal which is outputted first and a detection signal of an absolute position detecting means, when the moving member 2 enters the travel control section Lx from a coasting section Ly. So, the advancing direction of the moving member 2 in the speed control section Lx is decided correctly, without being affected by precision in assembling of a carriage and the layout of a travel track for accurate position control of a carriage 9 driven by a linear motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
