<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card recognition system provided with an improved converter which has a simple configuration and can efficiently transfer data. <P>SOLUTION: The card recognition system, in which a non-compliant card which does not comply with standard is provided with a computer, in order to recognize the non-compliant card, which comprises a card adapter for connecting the non-compliant card to a connector for a compliant card which complies with the standard, and a converter for allowing the computer to recognize the non-compliant card connected to the card adapter as a compliant card, the converter including a non-compliant card controlling part, having an I/O for the non-compliant card on the non-compliant card side, is characterized in that the converter has an interface which directly converts the data outputted from the non-compliant card control part to data of the compliant card for outputting the converted data to the computer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
