PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for attaching an eyelet, providing the effects of the eyelet being strongly attached to a sheet and advantageous in the point of production. SOLUTION: The method for attaching the eyelet comprises (1) a step for forming an insertion part composed of some neighboring cut fragments by forming slits radially extending from a base point at a position at which the eyelet is attached, (2) a step for inserting a cylindrical part of a male member from one side of the sheet-shaped member to the insertion part, and raising the some cut fragments so as to lean against the outer periphery of the cylindrical part, and (3) a step for fitting an opened part of a female member on the cylindrical part of the male member protruded to the other side of the sheet-shaped member, and nipping the inserted some cut fragments between the base part of the male member and the female member, and also nipping the raised parts of the some cut fragments between the outer periphery of the cylindrical part of the male member and the inner periphery of the opened part of the female member.
