PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a cosmetic sufficiently exhibiting properties of an amphiphilic lipid which is a solid at room temperature and having excellent stability of appearance after preservation. SOLUTION: This cosmetic comprises the following ingredients (A) and (B). (A) a cationic group-containing copolymer obtained by carrying out radical polymerization of at least one kind of a nonionic group-containing vinyl monomer represented by general formula (I) or (II), at least one kind of a cationic group-containing vinyl monomer and at least one kind of crosslinking vinyl monomer having at least 2 groups selected from vinyl group, acryloyl group, methacryloyl group and allyl group in the molecule as essential constituent monomers and (B) a dispersion containing (a) 5-40 wt.% of the amphiphilic lipid having one or more hydroxy groups and amide groups in the molecule as a dispersoid and (b) 2-55 wt.% of a surfactant as dispersoid in an aqueous medium.
