PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce deflection power of a deflection yoke while effectively exerting an effect owing to a velocity modulation coil. SOLUTION: A coil winding guide 30 is provided directly contacting with an electron gun side end of a ferrite core 21. The guide 30 has a ring-like guide plate and a plurality of projections disposed at an outer peripheral edge of the plate and extending in a radial pattern. Winding of a vertical deflection coil 23 is disposed along a surface of the plate on an electron gun side and distributed to the protrusions to be locked. At least a part of the winding locked to the protrusions is swollen out toward a phosphor screen side closer than the electron gun side end of the ferrite core 21. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
