PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a mushroom bed in which contamination to the mushroom bed caused by fungi and sundry germs is prevented and the harvest amount and yield of a fruit body can be increased, and to provide a method, for culturing a mushroom. SOLUTION: When packing a culture medium 12 into a culturing bag 13, a separator 15 is previously embedded below the surface of the culture medium 12. Then, fungi of Ganoderma lucidum are spread in the culture medium 12 to produce a mushroom bed, and then, before transferring the mushroom bed to a process for growing the fruit body, the separator 15, the culture medium 12 carried on the separator 15, lumps K of mycelia produced on the surface of the culture medium 12 are removed. After removing the lumps K of mycelia 12 together with the culture medium positioned above the separator 15, the mushroom bed is kept under a prescribed environment. Thereby, dryness of the mycelium on the surface of mushroom bed is prevented and the mycelia are effectively regenerated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
