Driver assistance system for identification of emergency vehicles, uses data from GPS, navigation system and/or distance and sequence control system

The system detects an emergency vehicle by receiving and evaluating data from that vehicle or from another source. Warning and/or information are then transmitted to an affected driver or are automatically picked up by the driver. The data from the emergency vehicle is e.g. it's own data from one of the onboard systems: GPS, navigation, distance and sequence control system.
